Enterprise was designed by the legendary Olin Stephens with assistance from David Pedrick, for the 1977 America's Cup. She was skippered by renowned sailmaker and Star class champion Lowell North in the hotly contested defender trials that season. During the 1980 Cup campaign she was a part of Dennis Conner's campaign, where she provided very strong competition for the newly built Freedom.
Enterprise recently returned to Rhode Island after spending many years in Europe. Marine Chantiers in Antibes, France fitted Enterprise out for cruising with a comfortable interior, making her much better suited to her new life as a charter yacht. But don’t be fooled! She is still a flyer, and will be competing in the Newport 12 Meter fleet. America's Cup Charters is proud to welcome this pedigreed yacht to our unrivaled stable of offerings.
